      If you are not happy with the quality of your images or you think that you have room for improvement in your photography experience,  you should consider hands on,  individual, one-on-one photography tutoring to move up to the next level.

      I specialize in providing photography private lessons  or photography mentoring, doing a lot of face-to-face, hands on teaching. Some regard me as a photography coach or trainer. Although my base of operations is in Columbia, South Carolina, I have had students fly in from as far as Richmond, Virginia, New York and New Jersey.

     I also teach short courses at  Midlands Tech concentrating on digital photography, be it the Digital Darkroom or the Creative Use of Your Digital Camera courses.  I am also Adjunt Instructor at the University of South Carolina's College of Journalism and Mass Communications, where I have taught  Introduction to Photovisual Communications a couple of summer sessions.

      In the "Learning Opportunities" Tab you will learn about the various topics that I teach: among others  -  travel photography, format and composition, wedding photography, mastering action/sports photography, pre-visualization, lighting and the technical aspects of depth of field, f stops, aperture, focal length, shutter speed, ISO and their interrelationships.

      I also do free lectures on photography to non-profit organizations.
